My one and only NY Times review so far. (If the NY Times link doesn't work, click here). And it was for a short ten-minute piece. Imagine if they actually saw one of my full-lengths. Got my fingers crossed. Another really great review of the TWO SPOONS production in St. Petersburg, FL can be found here. READ EXCERPTS and OTHER REVIEWS HERE.

We Disappear by my friend, Scott Heim, is due out shortly. Meet Scott on the book tour for We Disappear.

Buy Scott's other books:
Mysterious Skin and In Awe

Watch my friend Ricky on Project Runway 4. Ultra-talented, he designed and made a wedding dress for a production of my play, Andrew Reaches The Other Side. I'm actually going to voluntarily watch a TV show about fashion. I shot and edited his audition video. I'll post a link if Bravo puts it up on their site.

The Human Rights Campaign needs to be supported. Although I may not always agree with their positions or strategies, my gripes are trivial compared to the good work they do. Family Equality Council (formerly Family Pride Coalition) and Colage are also terrific organizations, especially for gay and lesbian families. And this section about families would not be complete without a link to Rosie O'Donnell, who takes a lot of crap for being an outspoken gay parent. Here's a link to her blog.

In 1999 I formed a theatre company, Other Side Productions. Other Side has produced 4 plays since 2000, but needless to say, producing theatre in New York at any level is mucho expensive. So it's been 2 years since we've been able to produce. Donations are always welcome.

Another great person and friend, Allen Zadoff, has his first book published. It's called Hungry: Lessons Learned on the Journey from Fat to Thin. He's incredibly insightful, witty, and funny.

My close friend, Roger Anderson, composed the music for SHINE, The Horatio Alger Musical. Get more info and buy the CD. Also, Roger has collaborated with Chuck Blasius (my son's "nanny" and director of 2 of my produced plays) for LADYKILLER | A MUSICAL NOIR. Sidenote: I designed the CD cover and booklet for the demo.

Check out the music and message of GC and Soul Mafia. Thier debut CD titled IN-SIGHT was incredbile. Intelligently written fusion rap, hip-hop, rock, and jazz--iike nothing I've heard before. Their lastest release, Redline, is available now. If you can see Glen and Soul Mafia perform live, go!

Soon to come, a link to my sister Linda's web site which will be a site about empowering young women in today's world. The link to her 2000 Congressional Campaign in New Jersey's 5th district is no longer availabe, but she did receive the endorsement of The Record, the major paper in the region. Here is what that endorsement said. (She did not prevail, but a Democrat has not held the seat since redistricting in the early 1980s. Gerrymandering is the enemy of democracy. Something needs to be done to make congressional districts more competitive throughout the country. By the way, I was her campaign "manager," even though I was more an advisor and consultant than manager.)

And here are some links to people, organizations, that I like, support, or just think are worth learning about:

I don't watch TV often, but I try not to miss The Daily Show with John Stewart or Real Time with Bill Maher. Love these shows.
